Well, look at that.
After months of routes, aircraft, spreadsheets, questionable fuel purchases and rival airlines behaving exactly as badly as expected, Aviator now has an official Steam page.
That means the game is not hiding in the hangar anymore. It is sitting on the runway, lights on, engines warming up and waiting for clearance.
To be absolutely clear: the game has not been released yet. The Steam page is live, and Aviator is currently listed as coming soon to Early Access. You can now visit the page, follow the game and—most importantly—add it to your wishlist.
Aviator is our take on the classic airline management game. You begin at the dawn of the Jet Age, choose a home city and build an airline one aircraft and one route at a time. Markets change. Aircraft grow old. Fuel prices misbehave. Rivals expand into places they have no business being.
Every quarter brings another decision.
Do you open the prestigious route or the profitable one? Invest in a new aircraft or keep squeezing another few years out of the old fleet? Hire more people, protect the balance sheet or gamble on the next big destination?
No glowing quest marker will make those decisions for you. This is airline strategy in the classical way: thoughtful, deliberate and just dangerous enough to make pressing Advance Quarter slightly uncomfortable.
Getting the Steam page online is a small milestone, but an important one. It gives Aviator a permanent gate in the enormous and occasionally chaotic airport that is Steam. It also gives us a place to begin gathering a community around the game before Early Access.
And we genuinely want that community involved.
During Early Access, your feedback will help us examine the balance, improve the systems and decide where development should go next. We have plans. We have lists. We have several lists about the other lists. But player experiences will tell us things no internal document ever could.
So, go take a look at the Steam page. Study the screenshots. Read the details. Add Aviator to your wishlist if building an airline empire sounds like a reasonable use of your future free time.
